Spanvero is the independent price & value authority for AI. Our entire worth is that you can trust the number — so here is exactly how we keep it honest. Every rule is something the product actually enforces.

We don't sell or resell compute — so we've no reason to inflate the price

A GPU host earns more when you rent more; a router earns a cut of every token. They can't credibly tell you the cheapest way is to run it free yourself. We sell none of it, so we're the only side with no incentive to lie about cost.

$0 markup — every price is what you'd pay the source directly

Rent rates are the vendors' own hourly prices; API rates are the providers' own per-token prices; local is genuinely $0. We never add a cut or a fee — you always pay the source directly, on your own account.

Real, dated prices — a guess is never dressed up as a quote

Live prices come straight from providers, stamped with a date (current set: 2026-06-17). A figure we don't have for real is a clearly-labeled “est.” estimate; one we can no longer confirm is marked “last-known.” We label exactly what each number is.

Ranking is by price only — referral payouts never touch the order

When we point you to the cheapest honest place to run a model, the ranking is the real price, full stop. Some vendor links are disclosed referrals, but the payout never changes what we rank first — and we earn the same whether you pick a partner or not, including $0 when the cheapest path is running it free on your own machine.

The free, local $0 option always gets equal billing

Even though it pays us nothing, “run it free on your own hardware” sits right next to the paid options on every model, with the exact VRAM it needs. An honest advisor sometimes tells you to spend less — or nothing.

An independent price history — appended daily, never rewritten

Since June 20, 2026 we log the full cost landscape once a day into an append-only, version-controlled record that is never overwritten — a neutral, public time-series of what AI really costs. No vendor can produce a credible version of this; we can, because we're independent.

Your keys and data stay yours

By default your provider API keys live in your own browser and never touch our servers — a “your own key” call goes straight from you to the provider. We're an interface and an advisor, not a middleman holding your credentials or compute.

How we actually make money

Three honest ways, none of which is inflating a price: an optional Pro tier + a data feed for the history; disclosed vendor referrals that pay the same regardless of ranking; and bespoke cost audits for teams. If a business model required fudging a number, we wouldn't take it — the independence is the product.
